We were pleased to walk with Ecologist Richard Bickers from friends of Whitehawk hill. He took us on a fascinating walk and talk on the flowers, fauna and some history of Whitehawk hill.

Friends Of Whitehawk Hill and the rangers have been working for years preserving the chalk grassland habitat in Whitehawk. This now rare habitat is thought to of been around since neolithic time. We were introduced to Plant species such as Horseshoe vetch which thrive in this habitat and which the caterpillars of the Adonis blue butterfly solely rely on for food.

To top it all off, we were treated with seeing a Pereguin and Kestrels flying above us.

Checknout their FB group Friends Of Whitehawk Hill to find out more about what they do their work days and times.

Thanks for reading, if you have any questions or would love to join us at Whitehawk, head to the contact section and let us know!
